Both company seal & rubber stamp are important tools in day to day life of those you are very well involved in the legal working. On one side company seal or better known as the common seal is widely used seal for the law jurisdiction working in Singapore. It is the official stamp used by any company to particularly endorse the legal documents like contracts, deeds, certificates etc. On the other hand rubber stamp Singapore is also used by the companies to endorse the documents but it contains company name, mailing address, registration number etc.
Then what is the main difference between these two effective tools for endorsing the documents?
When to use company stamp or seal?
Company stamp is particularly used by companies for the contracts that is to be executed by law in written form under the seal. For better understanding let’s say when a company is executing the documents as a deed then for the banking & property transaction in that deed you need company seal. However in some case this seal is not so required if certain procedures are followed by sections under the companies act.Company seal is now slowly phased out in the Singapore.
When to make use of rubber stamp?
Under the section 144(1A) for companies act in Singapore, the company’s registration number should appear in legitimate form in the following documents-business letters, invoices, official notices, statements of account & publications to be issued by company or singed by company its behalf.
So, we can say that rubber stamp Singapore is most crucial for any company with the specified legal documents. But at the same time if the company’s name ®istration number is already printed on company letter then rubber stamp is not so required. Rubber stamp is used by companies for better convenience.
